Thank you for visiting the website of the Knoxville Alumnae Chapter of Delta
Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.  Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is the largest
organization of predominately black college-educated women in the world. We
boast of some 250,000 members and 950 chapters, which are spread
internationally and throughout the United States.

There are  over 100 members in the Knoxville Alumnae Chapter. We can be seen
on a daily basis implementing programs relating to public service, scholarship and
sisterhood.

Our website has been designed to show that the connection built by our 22
founders in 1913 is indeed, what we are implementing today.  The website
provides a quick glance at our Educational thrust:
Career Awareness Motivation Program,(CAMP),
The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy,
Delta GEMS

These programs are designed to service the young people in the community. It is
our hope that the public can discover, through our website, a way we can provide
public service through a collaborative effort.

Economic Development, Physical and Mental Health, Political Awareness and
Involvement, and International Awareness
are the four other thrust our chapter
encompass in an effort to build on the past to help our youth focus on the future.
We realize that communication has technically shifted from physical to digital, and
we must be able to communicate the new technology concepts, not only to our
youth, but to our chapter members, as well. Chapter members, therefore, are
encouraged and challenged to visit the website to glean information related to
schedules of events, announcements, and opportunities to serve. An abundance of
thanks and appreciation go to the technology team for designing and providing
frequent updates to our website.
